Unusual stage makeup guide from the early 20th century. Date uncertain, though preface is dated 1919. Guidebook/key included. Loose plates, all present but not bound (two holes in edges suggest a two ring binder); two plates listed separately in contents are in fact combined on a single card: Contents of Tafel XXI-XXII are both included in XXI; contents of Tafel D&E are included on single card D.

Edges of booklet show wear. There are smudges and soiling throughout. Pencilled at top of each plate is the last name of Vic Torsberg, a well-known Chicago magician and entertainer from the first half of the 1900s.
