Description

Large-format fold-out 1951 road map of Ontario, printed more than 68 years ago.
The map opens to a generous 24" x 38" and has great detail on old highway alignments, with cartography by the American Automobile Association.
On the reverse side there are inset plans of Toronto, Ottawa, Hamilton, and Niagara Falls, along with a mileage chart and a list of toll bridges and ferries.
There are ads for Auto-Lite, the Blue Water Bridge, Thousand Islands Boat Tour, Albion Hotel, Rideau Glen, and the Ogdensburg-Prescott Ferry.
Condition:
This map is in very good, lightly used condition. A previous owner glued a small patch of stiff paper near the lower margin, south of Buffalo. Otherwise, the map is clean and sound, with a neat rubber-stamp imprint from the Greenville Motor Club. Please see the scans and feel free to ask any questions.
It was published in 1951 by the American Automobile Association, Washington, DC and is dated in the legend.
